Community Outreach Programmes

At SVVS, we believe in the transformative power of education not only within the walls of our classrooms but also in the positive impact it can have on the communities we serve. These programs benefit the school and the community by fostering positive relationships, addressing local needs, and promoting social responsibility. Through a variety of community outreach programs, we strive to instill in our students a sense of social responsibility, empathy, and the understanding that positive change begins with active engagement.

Clubs

Clubs contribute to a well-rounded education by offering experiences beyond the academic curriculum. School clubs are extracurricular activities that allow students to pursue shared interests, develop new skills, and build social connections. Our diverse range of student-led clubs provides a unique opportunity for every student to explore their passions, develop new skills, and build lasting connections with like-minded peers.

DEAR Programme

The DEAR program, which stands for “Drop Everything and Read,” is an initiative commonly implemented to promote and foster a culture of reading. The program aims to cultivate a love for reading, improve literacy skills, and enhance overall academic performance. The goal of the DEAR program is to encourage students, teachers, and sometimes even the entire school community to set aside a specific time each day to engage in independent reading.

Educational Trips

Educational trips allow students to apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations, reinforcing classroom learning. Students gain hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of concepts through direct observation and interaction. Trips to science, art, history, or cultural museums, visits to historical landmarks, interactive science centers, excursions to parks, botanical gardens, or industry visits give students diverse learning experiences beyond the confines of the classroom.

WOW Wednesday

Our Value-based teachings and motivational talk shows on WOW Wednesday inspire students to develop a strong moral compass and a positive mindset.

Financial literacy

We prepare our students not only to ace in academics but also the outer real world. We understand the importance of financial literacy. Our beyond-academic initiatives include comprehensive programs designed to equip students with essential money management, personal financial management, and various other finance skills. Through interactive workshops, practical exercises, and real-life simulations, our students learn about budgeting, saving, investing, and responsible spending habits. We aim to empower students so that they can make informed financial decisions. We also aim to cultivate a sense of financial independence and responsibility to our students from an early age.

Student-Led Conferences

As said from earlier times “Communication is key”, we make our students follow this with utmost discipline. Our student-led conferences provide a platform for students to reflect on their academic progress, set goals, and share their achievements in both personal and professional life with parents and teachers. Through these conferences, students develop valuable communication, leadership, and self-assessment skills, also while fostering a sense of accountability for their academic growth. We encourage active participation from students, parents, and teachers to promote collaborative learning and holistic development.

Creative Arts

At Sri Vidya Vihar School, we recognise the importance of nurturing creativity and innovation in our students. Our creative arts programme offers a diverse range of opportunities for students to explore and develop their artistic talents. From visual arts and music to drama and dance, students have the chance to unleash their creativity and showcase their abilities. Through workshops, competitions, performances, and cultural activities, we celebrate the unique talents and perspectives of each student, fostering a vibrant and inclusive arts culture within our school community.
